Salina Parks & Rec New Years Eve Party

The Salina Sirens were at Parks and Rec’s Noon Year’s Eve Event!!!

It was held at the Bicentennial Center on New Year’s Eve from 10:30am-1pm.

It was a FREE event for the kids with a Mac n Cheese lunch and a milk and cookie toast. There was a bouncy house! Games! Face painting! A balloon drop at the stroke of Noon! The Bombers! OH! And Sirens on skates!!

It was an amazing event; over 700 parents and children. The Sirens volunteered at the face painting table, which ended up being a huge hit. The line stretched all the way to the bouncy house. Two Sirens were on skates and they mingled through the crowd handing out coloring pages and flyers for our March 8th bout. Kids came up and asked for photos and autographs. One little girl even walked up and quietly gave me, Lochness Warrior, a hug.

Our next appearance will be at the Bicentennial Center on January 24, 2015. Yes, its that time!! Girl Scout Cookie Kick Off! Information and details will be posted soon.

Teams that participated were Central Kansas Roller Girls from Hutchinson, Wichita Area Rollers from Wichita, Stone Cold Foxes from Junction City, Panthers from Kansas City, and Salina Sirens from Salina.  These five teams competed for 3 grueling days, and at the end of it all the Panthers were declared victorious.
